Pharmacy Technician Bridging Course



    Please Note:
    The Bridging Education Program is the second step in the Registration Process for pharmacy technicians who have not graduated from a CCAPP accredited program (Note: CCAPP accreditation began in 2008). To be eligible for the Bridging Education Program you must have first completed the OCP certification exam or the PEBC evaluating exam (go to www.pebc.ca for exam dates). Verification that you were eligible to complete the Bridging Program will be completed by OCP prior to registration.

Registration Details


The Bridging Education Program is administered by Community Colleges with a full-time Pharmacy Technician Program, accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs. These Colleges are serving a growing list of communities in the province through off-site or affiliated program delivery (see listings below). Additional locations will be added throughout the upcoming year. See contact information below. Note that all four courses are now available for classroom delivery.

Click here to subscribe) OCP attempts to maintain current information on the availability of bridging programs at each of the approved Community Colleges, however you are also advised to confirm the information posted below by visiting the individual College websites – links are provided below.

On-line Learning

Registration for Fall delivery of the on-line courses is now available. Details are available at www.OntarioLearn.com

The online version of Professional Practice, Pharmacology, Management of Drug Distribution Systems and Product Preparation will be starting on September 10. Each of the core delivering Colleges (Centennial, Fanshawe, Humber, Lambton, Mohawk, Niagara, Sheridan and St. Clair) will have registration available for on-line courses. (Please note: each College has a limited number of spaces available. If registration is full at one College you are advised to check with other Colleges to determine if spaces are still available.) You may register through any one of these Colleges or go directly to www.OntarioLearn.com and look under Course Inventory>Health Sciences> Pharmacology - Pharmacy Technician Bridging; Professional Practice- Pharmacy Technician Bridging or Management of Drug Distribution- Pharmacy Technician Bridging.
